A big change happened in The Amazing Spider-Man During “Beyond Era” Peter’s version, Ben Riley, appeared to take his place for a while while Peter was recovering from injuries. Ben Reilly worked with Beyond Corporation, who upgraded his costumes and outfitted him with new devices. However, the Beyond Corporation wasn’t as healthy as it seemed, and Ben’s memories were tampered with. Ben can no longer remember all of Peter’s memories of growing up with Aunt May and Uncle Ben, which sends him into a fit of rage. The story concludes with Ben Riley adopting a new villainous character as Chasem, sparking another future confrontation with his “brother”.
